Farm block play activities

Block play is fun and creates spatial awareness. This helps the children to navigate direction and space. This play also instills creativity, so let their minds be at their creative best and come up with loads of new ideas and ways to play blocks.
This idea goes so well with this story "Three Billy Goats Gruff". Its a simple and yet entertaining activity.

This simple block play is so easy to assemble. I put together some blocks, and some old brown and green card paper stock which I had to represent the different side of the land (it's optional though) and these 3 goats from my farm set, I used cellophane paper like water. It was fun as we tried to make the bridge(also from the farm set) over the blocks in so many different ways and finally placed it at the edges of the water.

Enacting the entire story was more fun and so was the use of repetitive words like "trip" "trap" "trip" "trap".The excitement grew as each time the ugly "Troll" jumped out from under the bridge to make the goat his meal. To add more thrill use voice modulations soft voice for the tiny billy goat, harsh and strong voice for the big billy goat gruff, and so on.
I have also made some printables to use just in case you don't have the 3 goats and the ugly troll.
